Probably because by every measure it is. It is more expensive than a comparable muscle car, offers less luxury than the Porsche Cayman that it used as a performance benchmark. It's in a precarious position, with no other direct competition in its price range, so it inevitably draws comparisons to cars that are either more powerful per $ or more luxurious per $.

The Touring model is probably the worst thing you can do with your money if you buy a Z. It's the base model with some minuscule added luxury. Sport Tech would be a much wiser investment, and is actually what should be compared to a GT-R.

Why is the 370z listed as quite expensive when its less than half the cost of the car its compared to?!?!
