Ah, gotcha.  That warranty applies specifically to the engine (reassuring people spooked by rotary engines, I wonder?), not the rest of the powertrain components.  Another tricky case for us to think about -- thanks!

Excellent! Cool site, btw.

The warrantee is going to be another tricky beast. I can't find anything for an r3 that says it, but for the series one cars http://www.caranddriver.com/news/car/08q2/2009_mazda_rx-8_on_sale_with_eight-year_warranty-car_news is a decent reference. On the other hand, my 09 RX-8 R3 has the 8yr/100k coverage and while I didn't pay for it, it may have been rolled in as an incentive.

Thanks for the feedback, Josh!  We'll get the speakers, 0-60 and quarter mile times fixed up soon.  Good point about the GT -- we're showing the R3 and the Sport, and missing the GT. We'll get that fixed.

The Recaro seats are a tricky beast, since they're a mix of leather and cloth.  We'll have to look into how to model that better.
Can you point me towards a source for the warranty you quoted? Looking at http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPage.action?pageParameter=modelsWarranty&vehicleCode=RX8, I see the 3-year/36,000 mile warranty.

As for the child door locks: good point. :)  We'll look into improving the system to not call that out for 2-door or suicide door cars.

This info is quite wrong.
- Leather seats: it comes with leather Recaro racing seats.
- There's an 8y/100k mile warranty standard
- 0-60 is 5.7
- Quarter mile is 14.5
- Comes with an 8 speaker Bose stereo with sat radio
- Child door locks: you can't open the rear doors without the front being opened (they're suicide doors)

If you want moon roof, power seats, nav, entertainment and a moon roof then get the GT.
If you want ground clearance, stop looking at sports cars.
